Huawei Cloud Claims to Ramp up Web3 Innovations at SUSTAINABLE WEB3 SG 2023

Singapore (November 14, 2023) — SUSTAINABLE WEB3 SG 2023 Summit, hosted by Wanxiang Blockchain Labs and Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) Node for Inclusive Fintech (NiFT), wrapped up its inaugural event today. During the event, Huawei Cloud unveiled a series of Web3 cloud products and services, including the Node Engine Service, confidential computing, and InterPlanetary File System (IPFS), to join efforts to further innovate and accelerate the development of Web3.
In his keynote address, Rex Lei, Managing Director of Huawei Cloud Singapore, envisioned a more diversified Web3 future powered by Huawei Cloud’s technology and industry resources. “At Huawei, technology R&D takes precedence over everything else. We believe that our continued efforts in technology innovations will make a real impact on the mass adoption of Web3.”
Cui Lei, General Manager of Huawei Cloud Web3 Business said: “Adhering to the “Everything as a Service” strategy, Huawei Cloud provides distributed computing services worldwide that are more user-friendly, and has developed a more efficient and secure Web3 infrastructure with fast and trustworthy blockchain service offerings. These represent part of our efforts to work towards the goal of Web3 sustainability and stability.”
Dr. Li Huaxi, Web3 Product Director of Huawei Cloud Blockchain Lab, introduced Web3 Node Engine Service (NES), a blockchain node engine platform that supports flexible pricing, reduces development costs by over 50%, and provides developers with the ability to connect to mainstream blockchains. He added: “We are the first cloud provider to offer fully-managed node-hosting service for Ethereum Holesky. We support the top two mainstream consensus layer clients and nine mainstream relayers.”
In his keynote speech, Song Cheng Heng, Principal Consultant at Huawei Cloud Solutions Sales, noted that Huawei Cloud is working to build IPFS for cloud data. He said: “Huawei Cloud’s data entry makes it easier and faster to upload data to IPFS, provides more flexible solutions for infrastructure building, and reduces the cost for data storage. Also, we allow for a flexible manner of deployment, which means you can choose to either package offline and just verify on the cloud or deploy end-to-end on the cloud.”
Jia Xiaoqiang, Director of Huawei Cloud Virtualization Products, noted in his keynote that QingTian Enclave secures transactions in triple layers, “QingTian Enclave confidential computing makes the use of wallet private keys fairly safe on the cloud. It supports environment and identity authentication, and data encryption and decryption throughout the blockchain. With QingTian Enclave, users can safely run protected applications and data in an isolated space inside an elastic cloud server, where unauthorized access is strictly prohibited.”
